Union Mine appointed Moolmans for the rehabilitation of their haulages, which included removing rails and replacing with new rails, ensuring alignment for the smooth transition between old and new rails. Additional support in the form of bolts, anchors and shotcrete was also applied in areas identified by the client. Some areas required additional piping and the replacement of pipes. In some instances, electrical cables were removed and replaced after the support of the haulage.
Currently Fall Of Ground areas are also being rehabilitated by Moolmans crews with an extremely good safety record.
Additional scope in the form of decline shaft rehabilitation is currently being investigated by the client and more detail should be released in the near future.
