Kriel Mine, previously owned by Anglo Coal, is located in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa, about 18km north of the town of Kriel.
Moolmans provided a full mining service in the mine’s mini-pits, where the client’s draglines could not operate efficiently, and also managed the weighbridge where the coal was excavated and weighed before being transported to be processed.
The biggest challenge successfully overcome by Moolmans at Kriel Mine was managing the underground water produced by excessive rainfall.
