Moolmans was contracted by Dishaba Mine to rehabilitate the ore-pass system for the underground workings in 2014. With the ore-pass system close to end of life, it was necessary to visit these areas and re-support and line these passes to ensure continued safe usage of these passes. Scaling of up to 15m from the initial 4m of the bottom pass was observed. Moolmans is currently executing the final stages of this major repair of these passes.
During this time, the client has requested a quote for the installation of box fronts, grizzlies and equipping of panel equipment. Current planning on this construction face is to equip in the order of 209 more box fronts over the next three years with the grizzlies to match the client’s requirements.
